War of Words Wednesday: Who Dies in Harry Potter?

by Kelly

Okay, my disclaimer: you know that I haven’t read any Harry Potter. But I have followed it in the media. And I know that in the Deathly Hallows version that someone dies. So, today’s War of Words Wednesday question is:

Who do you think dies in Deathly Hallows: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger or somebody else?

And yes, this is all just speculation for fun. It’s what we do on War of Words Wednesday. Nobody knows anything, right? No spoilers. Play nice.

Sooo… nobody wants to hazard a guess? I will.

    Harry.

I think JK kills him off so that nobody can ever do anything with the character in the future.

  3. Maddy Says:

Well, I really think it will be somebody else.

  4. Kelly Says:

Really? What makes you say that?

  5. Maddy Says:

Because I don’t want Harry to die. I want him to go back to school and I want him to be a great wizard. And I don’t see her killing off Hermione or Ron - there wouldn’t be any reason for it. Neville Longbottom, Servius Snape, and (most hopefully) he whose name must not be typed are possible candidates.

I was really miffed when she killed off Sirus Black - I really liked him.

I also don’t believe that Dumbledore is really dead!

  6. Brick ONeil Says:

Didn’t JKR say two characters were going to die in HP7?

My two cents worth? I think it’ll be Hagrid and Prof. McGonegall.

Hagrid, because Dumbledor said he would trust his life to Hagrid, a large bit of shadowing, and Hagrid’s enthusiasm to help anyone in need. All Harry would have to do is call on Hagrid and he’d rush to his defense.

Prof. McG. because she had that tendency to rush in without thinking when everyone’s favorite toad brought aurors to ‘take Hagrid in’. McG was so injured she almost died.

I may be way off, but thats the way I see it.

  7. Homemom3 Says:

my thoughts are V and H.Potter. It’s the only way J.K. can end the book so no one else can continue the series. V can only die if H.Potter dies. (the scar)

About Tiny Treasury

It's impossible to get rid of a bad children's book once it has entered your house. In fact, if history teaches us anything, it's that it will become a favorite. Your child will cling to it, sleep with it and worst yet, require you to read it over and over again.

At tinytreasury.com, our mission is separate the good from the bad. If I can save one parent from having to read a rhyming book about dancing pigs, then I'll know I've done my job.
