Why I’m Here

by Staff Writer

I will read anything. (I read the back of the shampoo bottle everyday.)
When I was very small my mother read to me every night. She suffered the endless “one more story” every night. Her patience and her own love of reading helped foster an undying love of reading in me. It is important for families to read together and to (more importantly) discuss what is being read.
I have a special place in my heart for children’s literature. In college I took every lit class I could fit into my schedule…but my favorite was Children’s Literature.
I will be reviewing/discussing books from all genres and for all ages of children. Feel free to make suggestions, recomendations and comments.
Thanks for stopping by…and come back anytime!

Sounds like me. When I could talk, every morning it was “Book.Juice.” Looking forward to your blo.I love children’s lit and revisiting it as an adult.

If you read anything can I suggest you find a book called ‘Triggerfish Twist’ by Tim Dorsey?

You won’t be sorry. It’s definently not children’s literature, but it’s one of the funniest novels I’ve ever read. He has 8 other books after that one.

    Aaron.

I’ll send you my shampoo bottle. :P

    Kidding.

Loving this blog already and lovely to see you have such good tastes.

Have you ever thought about writing a children’s book?

About Tiny Treasury

It's impossible to get rid of a bad children's book once it has entered your house. In fact, if history teaches us anything, it's that it will become a favorite. Your child will cling to it, sleep with it and worst yet, require you to read it over and over again.

At tinytreasury.com, our mission is separate the good from the bad. If I can save one parent from having to read a rhyming book about dancing pigs, then I'll know I've done my job.
